How Thought Collective Spiced Up Currie Hall
We created the name University Hall, featuring the Colourful U, to represent the diversity that exists in all aspects of current university life.
The strapline encapsulates the spirit of potential and diversity the UWA offers.
The website effectively uses the squares of the Colourful U as a navigation tool.
The colours of the new brand identity could also be utilised as a functional part of the design.
The identity we created is highly versatile and will be carried across all media.
The thinking behind the work:
The University of Western Australia’s Currie Hall Residences had just been renovated and expanded. The brief was to re-look at and update the old logo that was conservative and did not appeal to the target audience.
Looking beyond the logo, we saw that this was a perfect opportunity to completely refresh the brand identity, making it relevant to the students of today. We wanted to create a modern look and feel that reflected a whole new identity.
We renamed Currie Hall and created an entire new identity and tone for the brand that extended into all aspects of their communications strategy from logo and letterhead to website and in the way they engaged with students.
